Dark Chocolate Nut Clusters aka, Healthy Almond Joys!

This recipe looked so good when I found it on Pinterest. If you want the link to the website where the recipe came from go to the Recipes page.

First things first, here are the ingredients.

I cup plus 3 tablespoons of dark chocolate
Dried cherries( optional; I didn't use them)
1 1/2 cup whole almonds
Handful of coconut shavings.

Gather your ingredients:

Melt your chocolate in the microwave until creamy but NOT TOTALLY MELTED. You don't want the chocolate to go running all over your pan.
Then cover a flat pan with wax paper or parchment paper. If you have trouble getting the paper to lay flat, a piece of double-sided tape should help you stick it down.

Next, add little globs of chocolate on the pan. Don't get them too big at first because they will spread a little bit.
Then add three or four almonds to each mound and press them down very gently.

The next step is to take a little more chocolate and dab it over the almonds. Then, quickly before the chocolate begins to harden, sprinkle the coco nut flakes over the  mounds and press down gently.
Put them in the freezer( or fridge, depending on how quickly you want them to harden) make sure they are flat so they harden correctly. After a hour or so check to see if they have hardened. If they have, take them out and they should come of the paper without difficulty. Serve them to hungry family members or friends! But be careful, they do melt in your hands quickly!

These were delicious and so easy to make! They took so little time and ingredients that I will totally be making these again! I served them to my Mom (Arthur of Tea in the Morning too), sisters and little brother. They were rated and 8 out of 10 ( because they melted in our hands).
I hope you enjoy these as much as I did. If you make them let me know how they turned out and if you added anything to them!
