Carbs are our bodies main source of energy. Without carbs( carbohydrates) we wouldn't be able to function like we should. Every cell in the human body runs off of carbs  and the dietary fibers in carbs are what keep the colon healthy! Carbs also play a role in regulating blood sugar levels.

Carbs can be found in Beans, Quinoa, Oats, Lentils, Fruits, Potatoes, Bread and so many other sources! Remember, a healthy, less processed form of carbs is best!

Protein is the building block of the tissue in our bodies. Its essential for growth and repair of tissue as well as in the production of hormones and enzymes. Protein can also be used as a source of energy if carbs are limited. Every cell in the human body contains protein and is used to form many molecules essential of a healthy body!

Protein can be found in Almonds, Soy Beans, Beans, Peanuts, Seeds, Kidney Beans and Tofu as well as many other sources. Again, focus on less processed forms of Protein!

Fats are the body's insulator and another source of energy. It helps absorb fat-soluble vitamins like Vitamin A, E and K. Fat insulates the body and helps the body store energy. Excess storage of energy can lead to health problems and weight gain, so be careful not to over do the fat intake! Essential fats play a role in basic metabolism as well.

Fats can be found in Walnuts, Avocado, Flax Seeds, Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Almonds and Peanuts as well as other sources. When picking out your fat, go for a whole source and try and stay away from processed oils.
