Fall Inspired Vegan Puppy Chow

This fall-flavored puppy chow is the perfect sweet snack, party dish, or on the go sweet treat! Its chocolatey, peanut buttery and (best of all) full of delicious fall flavors! This Vegan recipe is one you don't want to miss out on!

Puppy chow, or Muddy Buddies, is a favorite in my family. Anytime we make it, the whole batch is gone in a flash! So, when we hosted a fall-themed party, I knew I wanted to somehow make this delicious treat.
But how do you make puppy chow into a fall-flavored dish? You add pumpkin spice of course!

I love how simple this recipe is, and that it can be made gluten free so easily. It also doesn't require an oven, and is super quick and easy to make!

Ingredients:

2 boxes Chex Cereal (I used the flavored cinnamon and chocolate rice cereals, but any flavor/brand works great!)

4 cups Dairy Free Chocolate Chips

3/4 cups Smooth Peanut Butter

6-7 tbs Pumpkin Pie Spice (separated)

3-4 cups Powdered Sugar

3-5 tbs Pumpkin Pie Spice

Start by pouring the cereal into a large bowl. If you don't have a large enough bowl, you can split it into several bowls.

Next, add the chocolate chips to a microwave safe bowl and heat until melted...30secs at a time to prevent burning. *Or you can place the chips into a double boiler to melt on the stove top.

Once the chocolate chips have melted, add in the peanut butter and 4-5 tbs of the pumpkin pie spice. You may need to warm the peanut butter before adding it to make mixing easier.

Mix the chocolate/peanut butter mix well and then pour over cereal. Use a large spoon to coat cereal with the chocolate mix.

Now, add the remaining pumpkin pie spice and powdered sugar to the chocolate coated cereal. Add the sugar in 1 cup at a time until each cereal piece is coated.

Mix well. The sugar will dissolve into the chocolate a bit, so you may need to add more sugar after the mix as set for a few minutes.

This turned out so well and super delicious! I couldn't help taste-testing it as I made it and we couldn't even wait to serve it at the party before we were sampling it! It really was a hit!

I really hope you give this recipe a try and see how easy it is so make and how delicious and addictive it is to eat!
